Fit Tummies

This one-hour mom and baby class consists of a cardiovascular warm-up, 30 minutes full-body strength workout focusing on the major muscle groups, and fifteen minutes to work specifically on CORE muscles which include abdominal, pelvic floor, and low back. The class will end with stretching and exercises for baby.

Level 1 classes are designed to help retrain your core/ pelvic floor after pregnancy & birth with low-impact exercises, minimal weight and resistance together we build the foundation to increase intensity safely using functional movement. 
• Newly postpartum 
• Not immediately postpartum but new to fitness 
• You experience pelvic floor concerns (bladder leakage, pain, heaviness etc) 

Level 2 classes were designed for once you have mastered the foundational breath work and engagement. This faster-paced class encourages movement through resistance and weight training as well as higher-impact functional movements. 
• You have completed Level 1 classes 
• You received the go ahead from your pelvic floor physiotherapist 

• You already maintain a physical fitness program 
 
Each participant can be tested for Diastasis Recti (abdominal separation) and be taught how to help repair if needed.

*Please note that participants must be a minimum of 6 weeks postpartum in order to participate*
