This program is designed to introduce young children to the fundamentals of yoga and meditation. We will explore traditional yoga poses and introduce meditation techniques in a fun, supportive environment. Poses will be modified to appeal to this age group and will include fun dynamic movements aimed at increasing strength, flexibility and coordination. We will also begin to explore what it means to meditate while focusing on self control and developing self confidence. Each class will consist of 45 minutes of fun interactive yoga practice and end with a weekly activity to enlighten the children in areas of positive self image, range of emotions, self confidence and self expression. As well as practice our “quiet time” with our meditation jars.
Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in this class with their children.
